- Description
All images taken in April 1981 showing various groups welcoming, or protesting against, the tour by Prince Charles to the Waitangirua Mall in Porirua, and to open the new buildings of the Royal New Zealand Police college. Frames 1 to 7 show a large crowd of Māori protesters swaiting the arrival of Prince Charles in the Waitangirua area of Porirua. Frames 8 to 12 show different groups, mostly women and children awaiting his arrrival behind barricades, with some of the children holding Union Jacks. A policeman is in front of the barricade (frame 11). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
