- Description
All frames taken at the Koriniti marae, by the Whanganui River. Groups of people are gathering in the courtyard area (marae ātea) with Te Waiherehere wharenui partially visible in the background (frame 1). People are gathering in the doorway, probably of the wharekai, Pamoana (frames 6 to 9 and 11 and 12). Boys and girls are playing games outside (frame 10). Some people have been identified including Rangi Ponga and Rua Keremeneta (frame 1); Ivan Hawkins (brother of Rangi), Temo Ponga and Rua Keremeneta (frame 2). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
