All images relate to the arrival and welcome at Parliament for the members of the Māori Land March in October 1975. Frame one shows a group of kuia (including Matarena Marjorie Rau-Kupa who is holding up an umbrella) sitting on a bench in the grounds of Parliament. Members from the Ngāti Pōneke marae performing the welcome are seen in frames 2 & 3, and 9 to 12. Māori kuia Harata Solomon is seen leading the welcome in frames 9 to 12. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
