Scenes around the Wellington Public Library lawn

All scenes taken in the vicinity of the Wellington Public Library in Mercer Street, except the first two in Cuba Street. Frame one shows a young woman lowering her baby into a pram in Cuba Street (scene following two others in section AW-1341 frames 11 and 12, which showed her starting to lower the child.) Frame two shows an older woman wearing a hat, sunglasses and strongly patterned jacket standing outside the Wellington Regional Planning Authority. Frames 3 to 5 show two men lying asleep on the grass beside a row of roses, a lavendar hedge along a white wall behind them. A group of young children are under a tree near the two men, R. Powley firm's building in the background. Another man is slumped on a bench seat in frame 9. A group of young children, mostly Māori, are seen on the Library Lawn watching Vargo's Circus summer show performed by theatrical group Red Mole.
