- Description
All frames show groups on a sunny day at a fair at Matauranga School in the Aro Valley. A street sign for St. John St. and a BP sign are visible in the background of frame 4 in which two men are standing, one wearing a bowler hat, a waistcoat and trousers, the other wearing a long-sleeved shirt and plaid trousers. Activities include a flying fox [?], and stilt walking. Two young men are leaning over a fence watching, and a young man and four women are sitting on a seat against the fence with a large sign behind them which reads "The city library has something for you". The women are wearing high platform shoes, with one wearing a sunhat which is letting dappled sunlight through. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
