Description

Programme cover shows an illustration of a pierrot in a full skirt, pointed cap and collar ruff, seated on a Maori-motif pedestal. A kiwi in a lemon-squeezer hat looks up a the pierrot. The illustrator may be Sergt W N Isaac.

The inside spread lists the cast of characters and the scenes. Cast includes Pte J Le Comte, Spr G Lyttleton, Spr T Trezise, Gnr C S Nelson, L/Cpl F Nation, Dvr C Richardson, Pte A Green, Sgt W E McKinlay, Pte C Tidy, Cpl R S Moloney, Capt D A Kenny, Pte O B Pinches, Cly N L Martin, Sgt N Isaac, Cpl Dorothy Brunton, Dvr Daisy Jerome, Pte A Syme, Pte C R Matthews. The back of the programme lists the orchestra. The pantomime was written and produced by Spr. Theodore Trezise; the director was Lt-Col J Hardie Neil and the musical director was Capt D A Kenny.

This copy is autographed on the front cover: "Somewhere in Belgium 12/1/18 , Y Sherriff

"Many of the costumes generously presented by Mr Oscar Asche and Miss Lily Brayton; wigs by Clarkson, London".
