Poster shows a packet of Lusteroid shu-milk which "cleans all kinds of white shoes; removes dirt & grease; will not evaporate. The package indicates that Lusteroid Pty Ltd operated from Auckland.
Shu-milk was advertised in newspapers in the late 1930s to early 1940s, and perhaps later. Lusteroid Holdings (New Zealand) Ltd was a paint manufacturer in the 1950-1960s; it is possible the poster dates from the 1950s rather than the earlier period.
