Reckitt and Sons Ltd :Brasso is now made in New Zealand, so things are looking brighter...

Date: 1930 - 1936

By: Reckitt and Sons Ltd

Reference: Eph-C-CLEANING-1930s-01

Description: Display card shows a blue and white striped tin of Brasso metal polish at the right, with radiating light beams around the top and a central red label displaying the brand name. The text is at the left, on a blue background. Probably of a 1930s date. Advertisements of 1936 indicated that Brasso was being made in New Zealand at that time (eg Evening Post, 3 July 1936, page 14). In 1911, advertisements announced: "Now try BRASSO the lasting metal polish. Note "Brasso" is not a foreign manufacture, but made by Reckitt's" (See Northern Advocate, 18 November 1911, Page 2). It is probable that this refers to the "non-foreign" British factory. Quantity: 1 colour art print(s). Physical Description: Lithograph and embossed print on card, 247 x 310 mm.
