Collection contains a 4th edition of `New Zealand in Review: An illustrated digest of interesting information, historical, geographical and otherwise, relating to New Zealand' compiled and illustrated by James Berry. Published in Wellington by Hutcheson, Bowman & Johnson, 1943. Collection also contains original page layouts created by Berry, research notes, and correspondence between Berry and John Marryatt Hardcastle.
James Berry was a commercial artist famous for creating the designs on New Zealand's first decimal coins. His illustrated booklet 'New Zealand in Review' was first published in 1940 while Berry was working as an artist at the Dominion. 'New Zealand in Review' ran to four editions in 1940, 1941, and 1943.
