Electronic scans of black and white photographs showing scenes of departure taken on different modes of transport. Taken 1969-1974 by Max Oettli.
Includes rail transport related photographs: a close up view of three train tail lights, passengers in the ticket lounge, two Samoan taxi drivers seated on bench, and passengers boarding a Silver Fern railcar, Auckland Railway Station; and a station guard on Frankton Junction station (taken though train window while moving).
Includes scenes taken onboard a ferry boat in the Bay of Islands showing passengers in steerage.
Includes a photograph of a Tongan man at Nandi Airport, Fiji, wearing a short ta'ovala (woven mat) and tupenu, and carrying a transistor radio.
Arrangement: Files were delivered to the Library within a folder titled 'NZ 1967-75 2013 series' and subfolder 'Airports, ports, departures'
