Description

Singleton family photograph album. Most photographs taken by Claude Singleton circa 1930s. Also some images taken by unidentified photographers between 1916 and 1920, some relating to World War 1.

- Many photographs of family, especially babies and children. Shows house and garden where photographs are taken. Features prams, dolls, cats, and dogs. Many images of Clive, Mary, and Estelle (the children of Claude and Zoe Singleton).

- Some taken during family camping trips at Judgeford, Pauatahanui. Shows tents, automobiles, outside dining, bush, streams, and an outdoor cot for a child.

- A set of outdoor scenes taken during a trip to Auckland. Shows Auckland Domain including the Museum and the Wintergardens, and Albert Park.

- Interior images of a house, with a woman identified as Olive Terriss.

- Captions included for some images. Identified people are: Brian Gibson, Zoe, Clive, Mary, Brian, Mum, Dad, Lil, Estelle, Claude, Olive Terriss, Dot Craighead, Laurie, Grandad Singleton, and Biv. Some other people are unidentified. Identified locations are Island Bay, Pirongia, Judgeford, Eureka, Auckland, and Panama.
