Loose prints, taken by amateur photographer Claude Singleton in 1938 and circa 1930s.
Comprises:
- Image of men in military uniform, and a canon, on Lyall Bay beach with seven Vildebeest biplanes in the sky, dated 8 May 1938
- A person reading in the shade under an awning attached to a building (probably the family bach at Judgeford).
- Two men in military uniform standing next to a car and a trailer outside a building (probably the family bach at Judgeford). Inscription reads "Pauatahanui, U.S soldiers".
- Image of the Cook Straight ferry 'Tamahine' at sea and image of a car being loaded or unloaded to the ferry by crane.
- Image of two people sitting on a park bench in front of the boat harbour near Oriental Bay in Wellington. Mount Victoria and the St Gerard's Monastery are visible in the background.
- Image of the interior of the Bank of New Zealand, shows a man, smoking a pipe, and writing at one of the desks. Inscription reads "Bank of N Z, North"
- Image of Makara, near Wellington, titled "Scintillation" and accompanying note. Note written by Singleton says that this image won him prize money at A&P shows which allowed him to buy new equipment.
