Description

Envelope shows the green silhouette of a Norfolk pine at the left, and at right a rubber stamp print of a tiki with the words "Special Christmas mail 24 December 1932 by air from Hastings". Hand-typed note says: "Per Christmas air mail [...] Hastings - Palmerston Nth; Palmerston North - Auckland". The addressee is Master Chas W Watters, 29 Robert Street, Ellerslie, Auckland, NZ.

The Napier Earthquake was on 3 February 1931.
