The papers relate to the history of Pitcairn Island and other Eastern Pacific Islands including Easter Island. Includes a postcard from L. Nicholas, dated 1912, including Christmas greetings (from Niuafoou Island?), with an image of six unidentified women on the front, described as 'my dusky friends' in the message written on the back. Also includes a letter written to James Cowan from Parker Christian of Pitcairn Island, dated 3 July 1921, which describes life and material culture of Pitcairn Island.
