Three tracks: single adults; territory calls.
Track 1: locality Kapiti Island beside day shelter, NE bay, Rangatira Flat; at base of slope in mixed broadleaf forest; flying between perches giving song recorded; distance 3-5m; sea noise from bay 30m away, tui alarm call; recorded 1 Feb 1983, 1645 hrs.
Track 2: locality Ngamanu Sancturay, Waikanae; on circular walk near western corner of reserve; flying between perches; distance 3-5m; aeroplane noise near start; weather fine mild calm; recorded 24 Apr 1985, 1400 hrs.
Track 3: locality Lake Pukepuke, beside inlet drain near no. 1 pond; flitting between perches near or on ground; distance 2-3m; some magpie noise; weather fine cold, light NW wind; recorded 22 July 1986, 1030 hrs.
