Norman Blackie, an amateur film maker, who began in 1932 with an 8 mm camera describes films made during war years, the transition to 16 mm film, filming the development of Tauranga in its port and roads, Princess Te Puea at Rotorua, and the closure of the Waihi Mine in 1954.
