Commentary from the cartoonist reads "Thousands of Australians and expat Kiwis are coming to New Zealand from Australia, reversing the migration trend over the last 20 years."
Four cartoons.
‘Aussie Migration 1’ depicts a large flag that is a combination of the Australian and New Zealand flags, with four red stars and two white stars. Underneath the flag a kangaroo labelled ‘a NoZzie’ says, ‘Fair suck of the Marlborough sav’.
‘Aussie Migration 2’ depicts a map of New Zealand with the North Island saying ‘Come matie, come matie’ to a kangaroo with a swag over its shoulder.
‘Aussie Migration 3’ has the same image, with the North Island saying, ‘Come mate, come mate’.
‘Aussie Migration 4’ has a drawing of a fish and beneath it the words ‘Fish and Chips/Feesh and Cheeps’. In the upper left corner, there is a note that additions may have to be made to signage because of the migration reversal.
