Description

Depicts a school building under cliffs, with soldiers with rifles and machine guns on the roof. There is a wall of sandbags on front of the school, behind which are more male and female soldiers. One solder says, ‘We will fight them on the boulders… we will fight them on the cliffs… we will never surrender!’ The image is captioned ‘Security this week a priority’.

Refers to parents and teachers’ opposition to the Ministry of Education’s plans to close the Redcliffs School because of the danger of rockfalls from the cliff face behind the school.
