Description

Shows three frames illustrating unrelated topics. The first frame is titled 'Yes! Things are only middling... in the muddle... in the 'Meddle' East.' It shows the leaders of the Soviet Union, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Egypt[?] surrounding a man representing the Middle East. In the second frame, a woman says to her mother, 'Oh, he's strong-willed, Mother. I haven't seen him have a smoke since the price went up.' Outside, the man is trying to hide the fact that he is smoking a cigarette. The final frame is titled 'Industrial consultants say, 3 monthly reading of electricity meters would save M.E.D. [GBP]7,500.' It shows a woman doing her ironing and saying, 'Well, suppose they read the meters 6 monthly, they might save [GBP]15,000... But then... If they didn't read them at all... what a packet THAT would save them... and us!'
