- Description
Accompanying note from cartoonist states, 'Labour's shutting out of the Greens (its vital partner in terms of forming any future government) from the Intelligence and Security Committee shows a sad lack of political intelligence and an abandonment of any security about winning the next election. The title and intelligence aspect reference the film currently in theatres, "The Imitation Game" which tells the story of the code-breaking teams at Bletchley Park, UK, during WWII. Cartoon depicts Labour leader Andrew Little, PM John Key, and Greens leader Metiria Turei'.
The context is the Green Party accusing Labour and National of shutting out the Greens after Opposition Leader Little described Turei as 'inexperienced' when he broke with convention by excluding minor parties from a seat on Parliament's powerful Intelligence and Security committee.
