'Klarc' cartoons commenting on political and social issues in New Zealand published in the Northern Advocate on Saturdays and also some published in the local Whangarei 'Scene' magazine.
Shows two forestry workers who have felled a number of trees to reveal a large rock formation representing the head of New Zealand First leader Winston Peters. One worker asks "Now that we've tidied up the site, will people have to pay to see it?" and the other replies "Probably not if they've got a super gold card". Refers to the by-election in Northland and campaign promises from Winston Peters. In particular the reference is to Peter's SuperGold card scheme, and his intention to extend the Government subsidy to Auckland ferry operators.
