Under the heading 'I coulda been a contender', Prime Minister John Key comforts Tim Groser, saying "Never mind Tim, you'll beat those other job applicants next time, coz I'm going to give the GCSB more extra special powers." Groser replies "And poison dart umbrellas? I think they need poison dart umbrellas." Refers to reports on The Intercept that the Government Communications Security Bureau spied on WTO candidates to aid Tim Groser's bid to become director-general of the World Trade Organisation.
The cartoonist Tweeted: "I coulda been a contender" if #GSCB had been better equiped.
