- Description
Under the heading 'The Flag Debate', Bill English and John Key hold up a large New Zealand flag to block out protesters holding the flag of Tino rangatiratanga and placards reading 'Stop deep sea oil', 'State housing' and 'No troops in Iraq'. Key says "Actually, Bill, now I look at it, I think it just needs to be bigger". Refers to the National Party's push for a referendum on the New Zealand flag, with the cartoonist suggesting that it is a screen to avoid engaging with other, greater, concerns.
Cartoonist Tweeted: Enough about that! Let's talk abt the #flag. It's not the colour, it's the size.
