- Description
Shows Prime Minister John Key wrapped in a toga formed from the New Zealand flag. He adopts a superior pose and says "I can get a new one for... oooh... $25,700,000... and then I shall give this one to a poor homeless child to wrap itself in at night." Refers to the Prime Minister's record of championing a new flag, but allegedly not pursuing the issue of child poverty.
The cartoonist tweeted 'Our national identity and #childpoverty My cartoon to go with Andrew Gunn's wonderful column in the Press tomorrow'.
