The Politician and Max walk and talk while referring to a newspaper article. Max describes the patrol vessels as 'ill-equipped' to deal with 'the illegal fishing boat' to which The Politician replies 'There must be something they can do!'. Max responds that 'They did fire a cannonball across their bow'. In January 2015 the New Zealand Navy was unsuccessful it its attempts to board fishing vessels 'Kunlun' and 'Songhua', which were illegally fishing for Patagonian toothfish in the Southern Ocean.
