- Description
Cartoon shows four panels satirising events of the week. In the first panel, a reporter asks a Greenpeace protestor if he's glad to be back in a country that doesn't pander to big oil and bans ocean protest. The second panel shows a couple lying in bed with an iPhone climbing onto the bed beside them. The woman says to her partner, "You'll think I'm silly, but I'm sure the iPhone is spying on us." The third panel shows two devils discussing the death of Ariel Sharon, former Prime Minister of Israel, and explaining that former President of the Palestinian National Authority, Yasser Arafat, is worried that Sharon will "turn up and annex 83 per cent of his sulphur pool". The fourth panel portrays New Zealand cricket as a piranha who has just grown its first sharp tooth, cricketer Corey Anderson, in reference to Anderson's fast century on 1 January 2014 against the West Indies.
