Description

Cartoon depicts tourist couple looking at 'reserved' sign on the pier for the next sailing of the 'Cabbage Boat'. The boat man says the boat is "..booked for Mister Banks..he's going back down the river". A dinghy of of green cabbages is moored at the pier. Refers a quote from ACT MP John Banks on the Q+A television programme in April 2012 when questioned about whether he had failed to declare a large campaign donation from Internet millionaire Kim Dotcom. Banks said that "he didn't come up the river on the last cabbage boat". In June 2014 Banks was found guilty of knowingly filing a false electoral return during his Auckland mayoralty campaign.
