Accompanying note from the cartoonist reads "We are living in a dark time when the Chinese government is able to suppress all public (and much private) commemoration of the atrocities in Tiananmen Square. It's like an enforced Alzheimer's. And the level of coverage of it in New Zealand has been and opinionless."
