The ship of state, SS Godzone, sails under the sun of Big Brother, having lost one propeller labelled 'Privacy', all that is now driving the ship is the propeller 'Spin'.
Accompanying note from cartoonist states, 'Moving in the opposite direction of European governments (and the opinion of many Americans) New Zealand has blithely given away its privacy with recent legislation. Like a lost propeller, it'll be hard to get back. Cartoon depicts Minister Amy Adams and PM John Key on a ship. The 'lost propellor' [sic] references the lost propeller from the interisland ferry Aratere.
