- Description
Disguised as Halloween trick or treaters, the Prime Minister, John Key, and the Minister of Conservation, Nick Smith, appear before two householders who are surprised to find that they are offering 'Trick? - Or another trick?' Key offers 'More asset sales', and Smith, 'DOC land deals'.
Refers to the government's placing on the share market of Meridian Energy shares, together with the announcement of further assets sales of shares in Air New Zealand and Genesis Energy, and to the permission given by the Department of Conservation to clear conservation land for a monorail in Fiordland, all of which were unpopular with many New Zealanders.
