Captioned 'News: drugs have been found in the heels of some imported platform shoes', the cartoon shows the pop star Elton John in a shoe shop, wearing very large platform shoes, admiring himself in a mirror and saying 'Wow, these shoes make me high!' A policeman and a police dog are about to spring on him.
On 27 September 2013 Customs officers in Auckland discovered methamphetamine or P valued at about 145,000 dollars inside PVC platform shoes. The cartoon's reference to Elton John, a singer who favours such footwear and puns on the meaning of 'high'.
