Description

Cartoon depicts the stage of Auckland politics. A hand pushes Bevan Chuang, dressed in burlesque costume, out from behind the red velvet curtain as an unseen voice tells her to "sing". Refers to allegations that pressure was put on Chuang to reveal details of her affair with Auckland Mayor Len Brown. His rival John Palino is known to have met Chuang before the affair was made public by Blogger Cameron Slater on his website 'Whale Oil'. Chuang posed in a corset and stockings for a photo shoot.
