The Politician tells a journalist 'My travel expenses are higher than other ministers because my portfolio requires it'. His aide adds 'As Minister in Charge of SOE Sales the Police have advised him to keep moving'.
The issue of travel expenses of ministers and other popliticians had risen again in 2013. One of the reasons given for ministers' expenses was that their work demanded extensive travel. Coupled with this excuse was the contoversial partial sale of state assets, such as the energy companies, in 2013. Police advice for the minister responsible 'keep moving' was based on the idea of moving target being more difficult to hit...
