The Politician is told by his aide that 'a tip-line for government waste and extravagance' has been opened as The Politician has suggested. There has been only call to say that 'the tip-line is a waste of money'.
On 30 October 2013, the Taxpayers' Union was formed, ostensibly with the intention of combatting government waste and extravagance. To this end it opened a 'tip-line' for political and government insiders to reveal such examples.
