- Description
Cartoon depicts the National Party cabinet ministers as confident and tall flowers in a rock garden, which has been fenced off from the surrounding grass. To the right of the garden (and the left side of the cartoon), is Winston Peters, leader of New Zealand First, portrayed as a lone grey flower. To the left of the garden (on the right side of the cartoon), are Labour leader David Cunliffe, and possibly Shane Jones, portrayed as wilting red flowers. Deputy Prime Minister Bill English says, "No wonder we're ahead... look at the competition!"
