Description

The families of the Pike River victims assemble at the mouth of the 'Justice Mine', which has long been closed off by wooden beams labelled 'Frustration - Keep out'. One remarks 'Long tortuous, blind leads, dead ends...and any light is just a flamin' glow worm!'

In December 2013 the Royal Commission investigating the Pike River mining disaster came to the end of its deliberations, without reaching any definite conclusions, without apportioning blame and without providing a sense of justice being done for the families of the victims who had no hope of reclaiming their bodies nor of reaching closure.
