Captioned 'A real angel...', the cartoon shows the leader of the ACT Party and the Member for Epsom, diguised clumsily as an angel, and held aloft by bolt through his head attached to a hook labelled ACT, claiming that 'I've spent a lifetime doing good, a lifetime making a difference for people and lifetime contributing to this country...I only do good. I don't do bad.'
On 27 November 2013 the Act Party leader John Banks said that it would be problematic if he was to face trial for electoral fraud and accepting undeclared funds from Kim Dot Com. His lawyers argued for a review of a District Court decision that determined there was enough evidence for him to stand trial. Mr Banks maintained that he had done nothing wrong.
