- Description
His Aide tells The Politician that there has been 'a big rise in the number of public servants'. The Aide's '2nd assistant's 3rd assistant's junior' has told him so.
On 15 November 2013 The State Services Commission revealed that there were 36,474 core public servants, one position short of the cap of 36,475 set in March 2012. Since the end of 2012, the number has climbed by almost 400. There were 287 jobs solely focused on 'communications', 12 more than the limit set by the Government, with the target soon to be exceeded. The 'communications' jobs were mainly with politicians' staff.
