- Description
An aide tells The Politician that he could earn more than his ministerial salary in the private sector since'every company has a guy that gets paid lots and does nothing.'
Reflects a common view of politicans' salaries, as set by a generous Remuneration Authority which proposed further increases for 2014 using as a comparison the work of ministers as executive work rather than as a public service. Many ministers had done little to justify any increase in pay.
