Description

Shows a seated couple, the man is reading a paper with the headline 'Key happy for Banks to vote on casino' while the woman comments "I've got some sympathy for Mr Banks. Who can remember Mr Dot Com giving them $50,000? I can't!" Refers to Act MP John Banks who claims not to remember receiving a campaign donation from millionaire internet tycoon Kim Dotcom. Banks stepped down as a minister but continued to stand as an MP. Despite calls from the Green party and others that he should not vote on the Skycity deal, Prime Minister John Key indicated he was happy for Banks to vote on the deal - a significant decision given the narrow margin by which the legislation was expected to pass.
