- Description
President Obama is depicted as Tonto, the sidekick of the Lone Ranger, riding on a donkey. The Lone Ranger is Vladimir Putin, bare chested and riding on a white charger. They are riding toward Syria. Obama wonders 'Me Tonto...? How did it come to this?'
Due to Russia's contacts with the Syrian president, Assad, Putin was able to take a leading role in the controversy over chemical warfare, and in the remote hope for conciliation in the Syrian civil war. The United States was finding itself to be sidelined. The Lone Ranger, a popular film, television and film cowboy hero, had an American Indian assistant, Tonto.
