- Description
Under the caption 'John Key lashes chemical weapons' John Key, with a halo slipping, is depicted as saying 'Those responsible must be brought to account!!'. A victim of a chemical attack replies ' Start with NZ, Mr Key. You manufactured Agent Orange and used it on us in Vietnam.'
Accompanying note from cartoonist states 'John Key's demand that the users of chemical weapons be "held to account" ignores the horrific use of chemicals throughout the Vietnam War. He seems blissfully unaware that Agent Orange was manufacturered here in NZ [and other places].'
Refers to international (including New Zealand's) reaction to the use of gas and chemical warfare in the Syrian civil war.
