Two vultures, called 'Wild speculation' and 'polls' sit on a tree branch while awating the arrival of David Cunliffe, the newly elected Labour Party leader. Around the tree and by a notice 'informed political comment' are the bones of their earlier victims.
Because of the divisive nature of Cunliffe's election as Labour Party leader, online comment and speculation tended to be critical, while the political polling taken immdiately after his election did not show a significant rise of support for Labour. The comment by a vulture 'Waiting for Cunliffe' refers to the play Waiting for Godot, where Godot never appears. Possibly Cunliffe will not appear for the vultures, either.
