- Description
A Maori canoe, manned solely by Tariana Turia, approaches the waterfall named 'Political Oblivion'. Hone Harawira has already left the canoe by the motorboat called 'Mana', while Pita Sharples is diving overboard.
By mid 2013 the Maori Party had been reduced essentially to three members, one of whom, Pita Sharples, had announced his retirement at the next election. Hone Harawira had already departed to form the Mana Party. Turia Tariana would probably announce her retirement and it seemed unlikely that the Maori Party under Te Ururoa Flavell would survive the general election of 1914.
