Shows Australia's new prime minister, Tony Abbott, smiling and flexing his muscles in a pair of Speedos, colloquially known as 'budgie smugglers'. Accompanying note from the cartoonist states: 'Tony Abbott comes to power in Australia. What were they thinking?' Refers to the 2013 Australian General Election and Abbott's public reputation as an allegedly image-obsessed politician. During the election campaign the mainstream media had famously published photographs of Abbott in his Speedos. The cartoonist also tweeted: 'What Australia wants in a leader? Really?'
