Programme for a sports event lists chopping, cycling and Maori events. Chopping included a World's Champion Chop, an Underhand Handicap, NZ Axemen's Cup Handicap, Visitors' Chop, Single Handed Sawing Championship of the World. Cycling events included a One Mile Handicap, a Carnival Wheel Race and a Three Mile Handicap. Maori events included a Grand Poi Dance Competition / Ropu Poi; Maori Dance Competition / Ropu Haka and a Peeling Potato Competition / Purei Waruwaru Riwai (Taera Maori). The description of the Maori events are in both English and Maori.
