- Description
Shows a stage performance of Hamlet at Downstage Theatre. The actor playing Hamlet asks " To 'BE' or 'not to BE'? That is the question". The skull he is holding replies "Add 'WAS', buddy, and you've got it in one". Accompanying note from the cartoonist states "So many businesses have gone to the wall under this government, but losing Downstage is the cruellest cut. New Zealand's oldest professional theatre, yet disposable in these cruel times."
