- Description
Shows Prime Minister John Key taking a model of Meridian Energy up to the counter at 'Asset Converters'. The man behind the counter tells him "I'll give you two bucks a share", but Key protests "But they were worth a fortune in the '80s". Refers to changing estimates as to how much income the National Government's sale of state assets will generate. The Government is expected to revise its target of raising at least $5 billion from asset sales, after warnings the partial sale of Meridian could result in shares selling for less than expected.
