Description

Panoramic view of 'Fernlea', a farm near Te Tipua, near Gore. Single-storeyed house in left middle distance behind a large paddock which runs across the foreground. A girl and a boy are on horseback on the left, and two women and a child are seated in a horse-drawn trap centre left. A man is standing with a team of draught-horses in the centre, three cows are on the right, and a man with dogs and a large flock of sheep are in the paddock centre right. Shelter belt of pine trees, outbuildings amongst trees. Steep hill in the centre background. Taken by Robert Percy Moore.

Cement chimneys. Make shed same colour. Paddock in front golden green. Mountains bluish haze. Bay pony light brown. Girl's pony black, dress white. Trap dark. Brown horse with red & blue ribbon on 1st & 2nd prize. Team. Roan, Browns. Cattle brown & white, black, white. Everything except fowls in this.
