Under the caption 'And in vegetable news...' it is announced that the price of broccoli has risen by 40%, and that 'United Future climbs back up the foodchain to become a real political party'. Drawings of a bunch of broccoli, the United Future logo, with the warnings that it 'contains preservatives', and of Peter Dunne climbing back into the frame of the cartoon are included.
By mid August 2013, the United Future Party had regained enough members to qualify as an officially registered parliamentary party. Peter Dunne was now an offical party leader again, with increased funding. As a political party, however, it was little more than an inert vegetable.
